Each program covers care during Direct Threat, Indirect Threat and Evacuation Care. Direct Threat or Care Under Fire as it’s known in Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) is the backbone of TECC. Understanding the steps and priorities in each area is critical for your success and the care of the casualty. TECC’s medical evaluation of casualties uses the M.A.R.C.H. algorithm which is based on numerous studies of actual combat casualties during war but is modified for the civilian environment and lack of complex resources. The M.A.R.C.H. algorithm is a step-by-step priority guide to identify and treat life-threatening injuries.

H. - Hypothermia and Head Trauma
The TECC system of care is applied during incidents where operational threats (e.g., active violence, hazardous material, fire, structural instability, etc.) shape the medical response. This system of care is based upon principles, not protocols. While the TECC principles are universal, application of the principles is agency, provider, practitioner, and resource specific. Whether you are a citizen with limited resources or a first responder with access to full trauma kits, TECC will help you prioritize your care and make better decisions to save more lives.
Whether you are a civic-minded citizen, concealed carrier or a law enforcement officer, this is the standard of emergency medical training you should have if you truly want to be able to aid and save others.

Requirements: Physical ability to move a person 10 feet (drag or carry with a partner); ability to bend, kneel and treat a casualty on the ground; willingness to role-play providing aid and receiving aid as a casualty.
Course Length: 4 hours
TECC for Active Bystanders (Civilians, Concealed Carriers and Law Enforcement) is 4 hours - $150.00.
TECC for First Responders with a Duty to Act (Law Enforcement Only) is 8 hours - $250.00 (sold separately)
