This course is for those new to handguns or handgun owners who need updated training, coaching and safety. You will learn the fundamental knowledge of handgun types, nomenclature, safe storage, safe transportation and legal aspects including deadly force and when it is justified. You will learn critical skills such as loading/unloading, the 7 fundamentals of marksmanship along with how to draw and shoot your handgun efficiently and clear basic malfunctions.
The morning portion of this course consists of a live classroom presentation and hands-on training with our safe laser training pistols in the Reticent Warrior Training Center at Top Shelf Ammo, Pooler, GA. (No live weapons are allowed in the training room) After lunch, we will meet at Reticent Warrior Tactics range located at 17 South Rod and Gun Club to complete the day with live-fire training drills and instruction.

Course Requirements
First things first, empty your cup. Come with an open-mind and humble spirit ready to learn and improve your performance (skillset) with your pistol.
No prior training is needed. No live weapons are allowed in the training room!
A quality semi-automatic pistol (iron sights or optic)
Quality OWB (Outside the Waistband) holster.
At least 1 spare magazines for your pistol
Quality belt that supports your holster and pistol
Minimum of 50 rounds of quality range ammo.
Weather appropriate attire
Hearing protection and Eye protection
Hydration - Water, Gatorade, etc.
Small notebook/pen
Brown or tan masking tape (to tape up holes in targets)
Recommended Items - Electronic ear pro, Hat, Gloves, Sunscreen, bug repellant, Weapon cleaning/maintenance kit.
