I started classes very nervous at first with no prior knowledge at all and being a woman very anxious . I was immediately met with warm energy from instructor Vann. I was put at ease immediately. I now am a current member and it feels like a family. Everyone was so welcoming. I have learned so much. Vann is absolutely incredible. You will not be disappointed. He will absolutely work with you as much as you need if you have any trouble and the ppl that have been with him for years are amazing and he pairs you with the best partners. As a Chief of Police, I’d like to commend Reticent Warrior Tactics for the training they provided law enforcement officers on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Not to mention the experience level and professionalism that is above standard and shared with the students by Vann Winn and the RWT Staff Instructors. Their training curriculum and methods were modernized and practical for Patrol Officer and Advanced Tactical Operators. Their training classes improved Officers’ weapons handling, utilization of situational shooting platforms encountered on duty, increased their speed of target acquisition and enhanced their overall knowledge of the carbine rifle and it’s capabilities in arduous situations. I thoroughly enjoyed the 2 day Fundamentals of Tactical Rifle and Vehicle Dynamics course. The training gave me more confidence with handling a rifle than I have ever had. This is NOT a class that tries to show you who has the biggest stick. It IS a class that makes you get comfortable in uncomfortable positions and learn different ways to win the fight. .. I went in with 10 years Law Enforcement and 9 of SWAT and definitely walked away with more confidence and knowledge. I would first like to thank you for the opportunity to learn and progress as an operator and deputy. Thank you for the patience and words of wisdom. Everything you brought to this course was helpful, useful, educational, and drove home a desire to be better. 

With that being said, this was an extremely humbling experience. I never thought I was the greatest marksman or rifleman, but this course definitely put into perspective where I am and where I want to be. Not only did it teach me what little changes I can make to become faster and more accurate, it gave me the passion back to be better that I had forgotten I had for what I do.

I plan on taking everything I learned and incorporating it into every training evolution I can. Not only did it make me better, it made me want to be better.
